Ranch History

San Vicente Ranch has been cattle ranching in Texas since 1750, before Texas existed. The Guerra family was deeded land in Nuevo Leon and settled in 1748. It took the family from 147 years from the time they left Spain until the crossed into was it now called Texas. The Guerra family was in Spanish territory at the time of immigrating, but later became Mexicans when Mexico won its Independence from Spain, and eventually became citizens of the United States of America. San Vicente has persevered and existed under all 6 flags of these nations
Our Legacy

We continue to run San Vicente ranch under the Guerra family, preserving the rich tradition and history of the Rio Grande Valley.
